by designing a rich and varied landscape comprising small forests placed on planting islands, water basins with small fountains and large pergolas covered by plants, a variety of “activity spaces” is born. Since kaohsiung is quite hot and humid and pollution is a problem, these spaces were designed to provide cool and refreshing areas to enjoy a variety of activities. many of the existing trees in the site are used together with new tree types, so to have a wide variety of species, native and non-native, evergreen and decidous, large and small.
