tree species were chosen by considering their leaf shape and texture so to cast different qualities of shades, while the groundcover plan was designed with a “mixed planting” approach. in this way, a collection of spaces is dramatically composed. A series of small, shaded outdoor galleries, a sunny glade-like open area, an entrance framed by japanese cherry trees, and so on.
